The Bible uses both of these words on different verses but we’ll be focussing on 1 Corinthians chapter 13
Latin Vulgate
1 Corinthians 13:4 - caritas patiens est benigna est
caritas non aemulatur non agit perperam non inflator
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
And the rest of the Bible versions
NKJV (read chapter in NKJV)
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

So which one is correct?!
Hey don’t get my wrong, I don’t even use the Latin Vulgate or like….So many errors, that’s why we’re focussing on the WORD rather than The Version
Yes, I know…The bible is Hebrew and Greek and Some Aramaic.
But There are Latin Too…in the least the translations. Hey,There are Romans, and of course they speak Latin,Lingua Franca.Example of such words are :
centurion[ORIGIN OF CENTURION[1225–75; Middle English <Latin centuriōn- (stem of centuriō), equivalent to centur(ia) century + -iōn--ion,Lk7:2-10]
and
denarius[Latin, literally ‘containing ten’, from the phrase denarius nummus ‘coin worth ten asses] Mt20:2
Okay enough said .
Ah Love…Love is a many splendored thing.
It’s the April rose that only grows in the early Spring
Love is nature’s way of giving a reason to be living
The golden crown that makes a man a king
Alright,alright ..enough singing
Please choose your Love

John 21:15-17
Jesus asks for the
first time: Do you love (agape)
me . . . (enough to sacrifice everything for me as I have done for you)?
Peter responds:
Yes Lord, you know that I love (phileo)
you . . . (like a brother).
Jesus asks again:
Do you love (agape) me . .
. (enough to sacrifice everything for me as I have done for you)?
Peter repeats: Yes
Lord, you know that I love (phileo)
you . . . (like a brother).
Jesus asks the
same question again, and Peter becomes grieved because he is being asked the
third time.
Here Jesus is asking Peter a question … yet Peter didn’t understand what the Master is talking about
Some say that the word CHARITY is weak[link] and LOVE is a stronger word. But it actually does the opposite. We’re not ruling out love here, we are absolutely expanding its definition as God wants you to understand
What is love? God 1Jn4:8,16
How do we know Love(where did it came from)? 1Jn4:19
How does God love us? Jn3:16
And how do we love? Charity 1Cor 13 as God the Father did
Charity brings together 3 loves…Storge(family love)…Phileo(love of friends)… and Agape(brotherly love)
NOTE:BROTHERLY LOVE HERE IS NOT HUMAN BROTHER
Agape is connects to the second commandment…play the video[link]
We’re not adding nor diminishing here Deut4:2
So is it Agape versus Charitas? You might ask…the answer nope.
Charity befits the Agape word perfectly.
Inside the church we are called brethren, 1Cor.14:26
Colossians 3:12-14 King James Version
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel [1] against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
To show charity we show the love of God to others. We show how The father have loved us. We also show how Christ have loved us (we’re CHRISTIANS, after all)
But to the other worshippers of gods and goddesses[The nonbelievers] and to the Atheists[No god/s], they don’t know what true love is, or where their love is coming from, nor where they have learned it from neither what they are showing
So why is it the greatest then?
Because everyone can do it …can give
That’s why the Bible(God’s word)is so complete!!!
13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
