Understand Methodology

Making sure that every questions answered is not a contradiction. Remembering, recognizing past, present, future events

Transmission{[Latin trnsmissi, trnsmissin-, a sending across, from trnsmissus, past participle of trnsmittere, to transmit; see transmit.]},

Transliteration is the process of writing words from one alphabet or writing system into another alphabet by mapping similar-sounding letters to show how the words are pronounced. [1, 2, 3]

Key Features

Focuses on sound, not meaning: It changes the script (alphabet) rather than translating the actual definition of a word.

Letter-for-letter mapping: It replaces characters from the source script with equivalent or similar-sounding characters in the target script.

Common uses: It is frequently used for personal names, brand names, and place names across languages. [1, 2]

Transliteration vs. Translation
Transliteration ("helps your tongue"): Changes the writing system so you can pronounce the word, leaving the meaning the same as the original language.

Example: The Russian word Москва becomes Moskva in Latin letters. [1, 2]

Translation ("helps your mind"): Converts the meaning of the words into a completely different language.

Example: The Russian word Москва becomes Moscow in English. [1, 2]
