When Apostle Paul called the Gentile Christians as “church of God” in Galatians 1:13;  I Corinthians 10:32, and II Thessalonians 1:4, it was to emphasize among the Gentile converts.

     Remember that the Gentiles, prior to their conversion in Christianity, were pagans who used to be “carried away from these dumb idols” (I Cor, 12:2, NKJV). They did not have the right to worship or deify the true God then and, hence, were described in that earlier state as “without hope and without God” (Eph. 2:11-12, Today’s English Version). But when they received the gospel and became members of Christ’s Church, the Gentiles were already recognized by God as His people (Rom. 9:24-26, NKJV) who belonged to the Church of Christ (Rom. 16:4, 16).

     Thus, by addressing them as “church of God,” Apostle Paul wanted the Gentiles to realize that they no longer belong to the worship of dumb idols, but to the Almighty God. Moreover, in using the designation “church of God” for the members of the Church of Christ, Apostle Paul was merely emphasizing that those who are of Christ are also of God. 

The question here is why in their missionary would they call the newly converts church of God, or is it only Paul in those days?     How about now? How long would they or Paul calls them church of God before calling them church of Christ?

So, it is not suitable to call “Church of the gentiles” the Jews that is a member of the church. 


In the new testament, and mostly are written by apostle Paul, many times what they call the Church of Christ “church of god”. (I cor. 1:2. 11:22, 15:9; II cor. 1:1; gal. 1:13;I tim. 3:5, 15) we must notice the times were apostle Paul use the term “church of god”, he always refers it to the gentiles that is a member in the Church of Christ

Jewish members--Church of Christ
Gentile members--Church of God

Now that is some separation.      I recall    The Paul confronts Peter(Ga2)


At that time,People(Nations)are called Jews and Gentiles(Ro3:9) also Jews,Gentiles(Non-members)and the Church of God(1Co10:32)  also Jews and Greeks(World Superpower),1Co1:23  How about now?


So that question is , are all the members  Jews(Church of Christ)and Gentiles(Church of  God)?
Are you a Jew or a Gentile,which it is today?

Maybe Church of God within Church of Christ?after all gentiles are grafted into the branch?

Are your Pastors or you yourself/ves or your god fooling the members?
