Background:The Thessalonian church did not fully understand what Paul had said in his first letter(1Th)about Jesus return.They had also been confused by other teachers who said that Jesus had already returned.Furthermore,some church members had even opted out of responsibilities on the basis that if Jesus was about to return there was not much point in going to work!Paul deals with all difficulties.
