Is Jesus the Archangel Michael? No.

Jesus

c.1175 (O.E. simply used hælend "savior"), from Gk. Iesous, attempt to render Aramaic proper name Jeshua (Heb. Yeshua) "Jah is salvation," a common Jewish personal name, the later form of Heb. Yehoshua (see Joshua). As an oath, attested from late 14c. For Jesus H. Christ (1924), see I.H.S. First record of Jesus freak is from 1970. Jesu, common in M.E., is from the O.Fr. objective case.

arch (adj.)

1540s, "chief, principal," from prefix arch- (from Gk. arkhos "chief;" see archon); used in 12c. archangel, etc., but extended to so many derogatory uses (arch-rogue, arch-knave, etc.) that it acquired a meaning of "roguish, mischievous," since softened to "saucy" (1660s). Also found in archwife (late 14c.) "A wife of a superior order."

archangel

late 12c., from L.L. archangelus, from Gk. arkhangelos "chief angel," from arkh- "chief, first" (see archon) + angelos (see angel). Replaced O.E. heah encgel.

angel

14c. fusion of O.E. engel (with hard -g-) and O.Fr. angele, both from L. angelus, from Gk. angelos "messenger," possibly related to angaros "mounted courier," both from an unknown Oriental source, perhaps related to Skt. ajira- "swift." Used in Scriptural translations for Heb. mal'akh (yehowah) "messenger (of Jehovah)," from base l-'-k "to send." The medieval gold coin (a new issue of the noble, first struck 1465 by Edward VI) was so called for the image of archangel Michael slaying the dragon, which was stamped on it. It was the coin given to patients who had been "touched" for the King's Evil. Angel food cake is from 1881; angel dust "phencyclidine" is from 1968. Angel-fish (1668) was so called for its "wings."

Confusion arise on the literal words "Chief Messenger" and "Who is like God". Of course, Jesus, is the chief or primary messenger/message to us all from the Father,Jn13:16 and He is one with the father,Jn10:30

Michael the archangel is the guardian for Israel while Jesus is for everyone who is willing. The Bible tells of Jesus as THE Son of God, while of Michael a prince and one among sons of God. Da12:1-3

Jesus Christ is not made while Angels are.Making distinction,Michael and his angel and blood of the Lamb,Re12:7-12

The Father of course is executive commander,Jesus Christ is the first in command while Michael is one of the prince commander for his legion etc.
